La Misa Del Pueblo

For nearly 15 years, Misa del Pueblo has become a cherished tradition at Fiesta del Sol — the only citywide festival that on Sunday celebrates both our faith and culture. Blessed by Cardinal Francis George for bringing the Eucharist beyond the walls of the church, this gathering of hope has grown into a family tradition, uniting our community in prayer, reflection, and solidarity. Each year, the main stage is transformed into a sacred altar where we come together to honor our faith and strengthen the bonds of the Pilsen community.

Keeping Healthy Expo

Sponsored by
Keeping Healthy Campaign is sponsored by Alivio Medical Center, as every year we will be providing information about chronic and communicable diseases, health care programs and resources available in the community.

Free preventing health screenings (glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index and HIV) will also be provided to attendees 18+.

Health screenings are important to reduce medical expenses, avoid ER visits, detect and prevent diseases in early stages. Alivio’s bilingual, bicultural staff serve all patients.

Citizenship & Immigration Expo

This year’s Fiesta del Sol Citizenship & Immigration Expo brings together diverse community organizations and legal service providers from across Chicago to share essential immigration information, offer legal services, and support our immigrant community during these turbulent times.

Housing Expo

The Fiesta del Sol Housing Expo honors Pilsen’s legacy of resistance against displacement, from the Chicago 21 Plan to today’s fight for affordable housing. We continue defending the right to stable, dignified homes for all families. Join us to connect with resources, learn about tenant rights, and organize for a future where our neighborhoods remain rooted in justice, not profit.

University Roundtable

The URT is comprised of representatives from institutions of post-secondary education and college-access advocates located in the Chicago metropolitan area and Illinois. Its mission is to provide necessary resources for underrepresented students with a focus on successful recruitment, college access and affordability, retention, and college completion.

School's Expo

The Fiesta del Sol Schools Expo celebrates Pilsen’s legacy of resistance and community empowerment, rooted in the community battles led by PNCC and student activists. From the 1968 walkouts to the founding of Benito Juárez High School and José Clemente Orozco Academy, our schools embody the fight for liberation through education. Join us in honoring our history, while defending our right to futures built on justice, culture, and collective strength.

Enviornmental Justice Expo

Join us for the first Sustainable Friendly Fiesta Del Sol! This year, the Environmental Justice Expo is leading a sustainability initiative plan by sponsoring trash and composting services.

You will be seeing volunteers help sort recyclables such as plastic and aluminum cans, as well as food vendors identify compostable food waste.

At our expo, you can get different information from a variety of organizations around composting, native plant gardening tips, tree planting, and so much more!

This effort is made possible by P. E.R.R.O., (Pilsen Environmental Rights and Reform Organization,) artists in our community, and volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please fill out the form
