CHICAGO - What began as a spontaneous block party in 1973 has evolved into one of the nation's premier Latino cultural celebrations. Fiesta Del Sol returns to Chicago's energetic Pilsen neighborhood Thursday, July 31 through Sunday, August 3, 2025, promising a festival filled with community presence and connection. It draws over 1.3 million visitors to Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood. For over two decades, the Guadalupe A. Reyes Fiesta del Sol Scholarship Program has awarded over $1.1 million in scholarships to students from the Southwest side of Chicago.
Step outside and join us at the 53rd annual Fiesta Del Sol - bring your loved ones, your friends, and your neighbors. This free, four-day festival demonstrates what's possible when a community unites around a shared purpose and vision.
Community Impact & Purpose:
Like the sun that rises and sets each day, Fiesta Del Sol honors its grassroots roots by consistently awarding scholarships to local students pursuing higher education and shining a spotlight on organizations that provide vital resources — from educational support to affordable housing and environmental initiatives. Every attendee leaves inspired and better connected to the tools available within their reach.
A message from Fiesta Del Sol Co-Chair, Juana Medina:
“The 53rd Fiesta del Sol committees continue addressing issues from healthcare, housing, education, social justice, immigration reform, and many others. This year, Pilsen Neighbors Community Council, partner organizations, and community members chose a theme that mirrors our work, values, and priorities: Protegiendo Nuestras Familias, Defendiendo Nuestros Derechos –Protecting our Families, Defending our Rights.
Fiesta del Sol is a celebration of life and the Latino culture, and an opportunity to continue empowering our community; for 53 years, community based organizations have joined Pilsen Neighbors Community Council to continue with this tradition and unity.”
Experience Shared Moments of Music, Art, Food, and Community:
